The color of fear has really been a great experience for me. The show really told the truth about racism, and how racism works. It showed us how racist we can be without us even knowing and how the white and minorities felt about this subject. They kept it on the real, as Mr. Donin would say.The video discussed many aspects of racism and its roots. During our discussion we came to the conclusion that the economy was the source of all racism. We also acknowledged that the people who were racist were just ignorant and didn’t really understand what they were doing. The best-case scenario that showed this was David in the video. He was being racist without even knowing because he was ignorant, ignorant about colored people, and ignorant of what the white people were doing to the colored people. During the video David always tried to come back with counter arguments against those of the other people there. And that’s exactly the thing that makes me angry when I talk to white people about racism. How can we as an oppressed race do that much without any help from them. They think we could do everything ourselves while they sit on their asses and say its our problem deal with it. What are we supposed to do? Can we possibly change every white man’s mind out there? Because im sick and tired of thhe white people saying that. Its not like I want them to go out and preach against racism or give their life for the cause. All I want from them is acknowledgement that racism exists everywhere and that as a people in a whole we must combat it. But whenever I talk to a white person about this subjec...
