The hardware you will need is; a bowl, rubber spatula, scissors, a brown paper bag, a hold puncher, string or yarn, and thumb tacks (optional). The flypaper adhesive mixture includes the following ingredients, syrup, brown sugar, and white granulated sugar. Begin preparation by cutting as many brown paper strips you think you will need. Cut strips approximately three inches wide by eleven inches long. Then cut yarn or string based on how you intend to hang each strip. For example, you may not need as much string using a thumbtack attached to a ceiling versus hanging a strip from a tree branch. Now punch a hole in the top center of each strip, and then attach the string or yarn, which will be used to suspend the strip. To make the adhesive mixture for one strip, put three tablespoons of syrup into a bowl. Next, add two tablespoons of brown sugar and granulated sugar into the bowl. Mix the ingredients until it thickens. Now apply the mixture to the paper strips you made using a rubber spatula. Finally, the flypaper traps are ready.
