The film: “The Mummy Returns” A full scale re-imaging of Universals Pictures seminal 1932 film , The mummy is a rousing , humorous, suspenseful and horrifying epic about an expedition of treasure seeking explorers in the Sahara desert in 1925. Stumbling upon an ancient tomb, the hunters set loose a 3000 year old legacy of terror, which is embodied in a vengeful reincarnation of an Egyptian priest who had been sentenced to an eternity as one of the living dead.The Mummy Returns is a continuation to the original Mummy. This film stars the same cast as the first Mummy except the couples young son played by Freddie Boath. In this film the special effects are great. With all the mummies that are created and the way that they are visually shown on the screen is a master piece. The Scorpion King played by Dwayne Johnson is a new character added to this film too. This movie was very comical in ways also. Every fight scene had some kind of comical content in it .The movie started out by Brendan Fraser and his wife in the film Rachel Weisz and son in a tomb looking for hidden treasures. They found the vault of the ScorpionKing in this tomb. Rachel Weisz shows flashbacks of her former life in this scene of the movie. She was a Kings daughter that was the protector of this vault. They find this box that has the scorpion Kings bracelet in it. They take it home and there son Freddie Boath puts iton and awakes the Scorpion King. If not taken off within 7 days he would be sucked dry of the air he was breathing. At the same time the original mummy was being brought back to life so he could fight the Scorpion King and become ruler of the army and take over the world. The movie continues on with adventures that bring the mummy and Brendan Fraser and his family in great fight scenes that include great special effects.
