The Power to Change

Changing something in someone’s life, hopefully putting a positive aspect on his/her future, would call for power from the mind or people. Accomplishing this task may be somewhat difficult for that of human nature. There are obscure details in the needed facts to achieve the goal of altering one’s present life or future selves, therefore creating a hurdle in front of the person. How one would go about changing something would involve some sort of authority for us kids. However, if I had the power to change the unimportance of volunteer hours that are done during middle school, my use of authorization would be used in a way in which I manipulate the human mind of some, into what I need those to think just by speaking. I believe that using large and precise wording, I can convince the toughest crowd to change their mind about something. It is mandatory for high school students to complete at least 75 hours of community service in order to graduate. It is not mandatory for middle school students to complete any community service which I do think is fine, however, many middle school students including me volunteer because they want to, and if this actually counted then I might’ve been eligible in the future for the Silver Night award. This award is given to 14 students at a high school, for accomplishing the most community service. I know I still do have a chance at the award, but once I get to high school, it will probably be more difficult in attaining the time of day to volunteer for many hours at a time.I might accomplish this by writing a very sophisticated letter explaining in detail the positive and negative aspects accompanied with my idea to the school board, or any higher officials who would have the actual power in doing this. I would begin my letter by stating my title and proposition, then explaining how by counting volunteer hours in middle school, would be beneficial to the entire school community. After ...
