Some people say that Disney would go well in Arizona since thereisn’t a whole lot to do there. They don’t realize that certain problems will arisesuch as: Increased pollution, increased traffic, higher taxes, increasedimmigration, and increased tourism. There will be some good things that comeout of the deal such as: entertainment, new jobs, better designed freeways, andnew people.Cough, Cough, Cough! The increased pollution in Arizona, that Disneyland will bring, will have residents reaching for their inhalers and staying indoorsin order to breathe. The Phoenix metro area is surrounded by mountains,trapping hazardous pollution in. It is proven that pollution makes is difficult tobreath. Enjoy those cool night strolls? Well get used to walking on thetread-mill because after one block you’ll be huffing and puffing your way backhome.Beeeeeeeeeeeeeep! Increased traffic will add to more air pollution aswell. Everyone will be overjoyed that there is a new amusement park in the areaand rush there on days off and vacations. Automobile and air traffic willincrease. With that, Arizona is more susceptible to airplane crashes andautomobile accidents. Sky Harbor already has the most “close calls” in thecountry. With more air traffic, those “close calls” might become even closer. Myparents have been involved in two close calls at sky harbor. There was a smallplane on the runway where they were landing. With an increase of air traffic,next time they might not be so lucky. Imagine being in a rush to work form yourlunch break and getting stuck in the afternoon “Disney” traffic....
