Almost everyone has a car stereo of some sort in their automobile, however not everyone understands how they are put together.A.Has anyone ever been sitting at a red light while being annoyed by the person next to you, or behind you with their bass so loud it shakes your rear view mirror? Well I am going to explain how that works.B.I have been installing car stereos for around a couple of years now. It started off with just installing my own and progressed to doing or helping all of my other friends install them in their car.C.Most peoples extent of knowledge of car stereos is that of If I put the CD in the CD player then the sounds come out of the speakers. However what they do not understand is that a car stereo is an intricate system of wires, amps, and acoustics that all come together to produce the right sound.D.Throughout this speech I will introduce everyone to the wires used in a car stereo, how those wires are used, and some tools that are needed in the installation of a car stereo. II. A car stereo is broken down into two main parts.A.There are a number of wires necessary for a car stereo to produce Sound.1.The RCA wires are the wires that relay the sound from the receiver to the amp. These are connected to from the back of the CD player to the RCA jacks on the side of the amp.2.The power wire is the main source of power for the amp. This wire is connected to the main positive terminal on the cars battery and run through a fuse and finally to the amp.3.The ground wire is the negative side of the power wire. It is run off of the amp and onto some sort of metal surface that will allow it to have a good connection. It is also very helpful to have a separate ground wire for both your receiver and your amp.
