Well as I am sure you probably have already heard Microsoft is coming out with a new update to its popular operating system Windows 98, the update is called Windows Millennium Edition or as it is commonly referred to as Windows ME. So for my article review I decide to read a review of the new operating system and give you a little feed back of what the article was about and what I learned about the article. The goals of Microsoft in creating the new operating system were first off to create a operating system that has a great deal of stability or pc health as Microsoft calls it. The second goal was to create better tools for digital media, the third goal was to create a system to make computer gaming a more enjoyable experience. Another important goal Microsoft wanted to reach in creating Windows ME was to have easier to use and more reliable Internet tools. And the final goal was to create an operating system easier for home networking. Microsoft promised that Windows ME would provide greater speeds and more stability than earlier versions of Windows 98. In some tests done by various people windows Me was in some cases slower than earlier versions of Windows 98. The article also stated that if you intend to run Windows Me at home the decision to upgrade is a toss up. Because you will be able to download the fashionable new tools such as the new Media Player and Internet Explorer 5.5 for free without even upgrading to the new version. And Windows ME claimed faster boot up time won't even work unless you have a computer that is fully compatible with Windows ME, so basically that is saying in order to benefit from Windows ME you will have to buy a new computer with Windows ME already installed, because most of the older computers will not be completely compatible. But when Windows ME was booted up on a completely compatible computer it booted up faster than Windows 98, as much as 20 seconds faster in some cases. Every Windows release ...
