I saw this cover on Time Magazine it was titled - 100 Most Influential People in our century and with it were pictures of the people who had influenced our world within the past century, with the likes of Theodore Roosevelt, Eleanor Roosevelt, Stalin, Lenin, Winston Churchill, Adolf Hitler, JFK and the list was not restricted to world leaders alone it also included others that weren’t leaders of whole nations but leaders all the same in their own right, speaking of the likes of Martin Luther King Jr, Mahatma Gandhi, Malcolm X and the list continues. Some of the men and women mentioned were heroes in one way or another, some were considered maniacs but one thing they all had in common was the fact in some way they in their time made an impact on this century and have left their mark. They did not leave this world until they had made their presence felt and heard. Though for some, their method of making themselves felt and heard was more than questionable; needless to say, gassing six million people in an attempt to wipe out an entire race borders on the extreme to say the very least. One thing you have simply got to give Hitler some credit for is the fact that he did not go out without a bang. Do not misunderstand me, I find his actions during the Holocaust unforgivable but still no one can dispel the fact that he was highly influential in this generation and ones to come; is a man that can be identified as one of the main factors that eventually contributed in starting World War II. Also he brought out the heroes in his generation, Winston Churchill for one would not have been as influential in this century had it not been for some of the villains of their time.My main reason for taking an interest in this cover is because I aim to someday be recognized and identified as someone who was highly influential in my generation.
