Trent Peterson pitched seven strong innings and Florida State got another home run from Stephen Drew in a 7-1 win over Jacksonville. The Dolphins (17-17) pounded FSU 13-4 the last time the teams met, on Feb. 24, but Peterson made sure it didn't happen again. The sophomore left-hander went a season-long seven innings and struck out five to improve to 2-2 on the season. Josh Johnson's fourth-inning home run was the lone blemish on Peterson's night as he allowed four hits and struck out five before 1,221 at Dick Howser Stadium."The changeup worked great for me," Peterson said. "That was my out pitch and got me out of a lot of jams. My curveball is what I go to for my strikeout pitch and it worked well. I threw a lot of strikes."Drew, whose three-run homer in the 13th inning Sunday gave FSU (31-11) a 9-7 victory over Miami, belted his fifth dinger of the year and third in four games in the seventh inning. Drew has played in just 14 games to date, missing 28 with a broken left foot.The 'Noles got the scoring started in the second. Ryan Barthelemy doubled to left and scored on Blair McCaleb's single. After Tony McQuade's base hit and a sacrifice by Mike Futrell, Tony Richie delivered a sac fly to score McCaleb for a 2-0 lead.The Dolphins cut the deficit in half on Johnson's homer in the fourth, the first hit off Peterson. The 'Noles would add single runs in the fifth, when Drew singled and later scored on Nick Rogers' sac fly; and the sixth, when Richie drove in Jerrod Brown with a single for a 4-1 lead.The 'Noles would add hree more runs in the seventh for a 7-1 lead.
