Meister Eder’s relationship with Pumuckl is in many ways a father son relationship. In other ways, it is not a father son relationship. Pumuckl needs Meister Eder and Meister Eder needs Pumuckl. Without each other they are both very sad. They are very good friends, even though they never tell each other that. Pumuckl looks up to Meister Eder, like when Pumuckl sang the same song as Meister Eder.Pumuckl causes many problems for Meister Eder just like a child would. Meister Eder also punishes Pumuckl. They also get into many fights like many fathers and sons do. They have a love hate relationship. Pumuckl demands a lot of attention. When Pumuckl ran away, both Meister Eder and Pumuckl became very sad. They need each other. In other ways their relationship is very different from a father son relationship. First, Pumuckl is not human. Meister Eder is the only one that can see Pumuckl. Pumuckl is a lot smaller than a human. Second, Pumuckl has a lot more freedoms that a child. He has the ability to come and go as he pleases. I do not think that he has a curfew. He could live without the help of Meister Eder, unlike a child. Last, Meister Eder is the only one that can see Pumuckl.I think that Meister Eder and Pumuckl’s relationship is more of a father son relationship. They have more in common with a father son relationship than they don’t.Even though they would never admit, they need each other. Pumuckl looks up to Mesiter Eder and Meister Eder really cares about Pumuckl. Mesiter Eder was really mad when Pumuckl almost drowned, that shows how much he cares....
