Also, this paper explores various other conflicts surrounding Anne Hutchinson. There were many interesting sides to Anne. There was a lot of just wife and mother, some reformer, some counselor, and some preacher within the character of Anne Hutchinson. The relevance of early influences, especially that of John Cotton, are discussed to prove how these factors affected the personality and actions of Anne Hutchinson to a certain extent. The religious situation in England was also a factor discussed.Many quotes from primary sources are used to give the reader an authentic rendition of the sentiments of time.
