The climate is cool and moist, with snow in the mountains. There are rich deposits of iron ore creating many jobs inthe steel industry. Theyborrow much of their culture from Belgium, Germany, and France.Today, modern Luxembourgers dress like other Europeans. The people of Luxembourg like to eat smoked pork and beans,and sometimes saurkraut. Smoked ham is available all year round,and pastries are a Luxembourg favorite. The buildings in Luxembourg vary from place to place. Somevillages have charming old houses hundreds of years old, thoughin the cities there are many modern apartment and officebuildings.
