If people look at a player’s batting stance, they will often find improper postion. In High School, baseball players practice mechanics of batting, basically to show themselves and other teams how hard they have worked in the off season. Batting technique is an inportant skill to learn for any baseball player. For example, cocking the bat upward will result in a uppercut swing; thus, batters get a pop up. Players will discover if the bat is cocked downward they will have a downward swing for instance, the ball will hit the bottom portion of the bat for a grounder. In order to maintain good batting technique, players will want their feet in the proper position, about 2 feet apart and their step should be no more than 6 inches from their destination. To maintain a nice, level swing, hold the bat in both hands and throw your hands at the center of the plate. As a result, players will be satisfied with the sucess they have put forth and will be sucessful with all the hard work that they have used to maintain and to consistently hone this technique.
