Should a Woman be President? It would be very reasonable for a woman to be president. Women are very strong in nature, determined and no less intelligent than men. The women have been repressed for a long period of history. Only recently have women started to gain respect as equals and individuals. However, even today they are still looked down upon for their gender. The power differential between men and women still manifests itself in our society.Although men are considered to be the stronger sex women are enduring physiologically. It has always been argued that women are not strong enough or smart enough to do certain jobs, to accomplish and succeed. Are women strong enough to bear a child though, which is the most significant responsibility of the continuation of human race? Or, as nowadays most commonly happens not only bear but also raise the child all alone without any help of men. Moreover, aren’t women strong enough to drive, not only cars but also public transportation, to fly planes, to save lives, to be in executive positions? Then why can’t a woman be president? Is it because they are not strong enough, or intelligent enough to rule a country? Nevertheless, wasn’t it a woman, “…the first woman God ever made,” who “was strong enough to turn the world upside down all alone”(Truth)? Wasn’t Catherine the Great a woman, in fact, whose rule was one of the most prosperous periods of the Russian Empire?
