26 essay....industrializationThree of the most important things that Americans valued (especially during the late-nineteenth century) were schools churches, and family life. Evidently, there are changes in time and one of the most important one’s was industrialization and urbanization in the late-nineteenth century. These two things changed the way of which things were working to a whole new modern way. One change that was very important was immigration. Many immigrants saw America as the free and promised land. They came to begin a new life with their families or by themselves. American churches were affected by this because a to of the immigrants came to the U.S. to escape from religious persecution. With the new immigrants beliefs brought new religions and new customs which increased the amount of new churches. American schools were affected because now there were new children attending from different backgrounds and there were also children, for the first time, getting an education that they could not receive in their home countries. Family life also changed due to industrialization. Many family members ended up working to make ends meet. The family almost never really sat down to eat at the table.Another change was sports, entertainment. During this time there were new sports ivented and new varieties of entertainment introduced. In schools, children had a chance to play many sports in their physical education classes. One sport in particular was basket ball. Churches also started to have entertainment. For example, dances, etc. It also helped improve family life by offering some fun and some amusement....
