A wise man once said, "If you win the lottery you will be happy for a year. If you fall in love you will be happy for five years. Though if you love your job, you will be happy for life." This, I believe is a quote to live by and is one of the main reasons I want to attend Champlain College. The strong business program your school offers is a good opportunity, I feel, to train myself for an entrepreneurship later in life. I have the ambition to one day run my own business proprietorship with the business backround from your school added to the knowledge that I have already received about running and managing ones own business through my father who is a home builder. To be in his line of work, he must carefully estimate and calculate the many things that are needed for him to succeed in building a well designed house. I feel that he has taught me much about how to "look around" for the best deals on such items as lumber and on how to choose workers that fit the requirements for the construction of the house. With a business education from your college and a sense of how to run my own business, I will achieve my goal in life.Another reason your college appeals to me is the beautiful geographical location of the school. Growing up in a small New England town, I have learned to love the winter season, and also the activities that coincide with it. Vermont attracts skiers from all over the United States, which is just one of the snow involved sports I love. It is very important for one to feel that he or she is comfortable in the environment that they live and work in. Champlain college is also close to my home in the northwestern part of Connecticut. This creates ample opportunity to visit my family and friends.
